BARCOMBE MILLS

The Anchor Inn is a 10 minute drive or hours walk from Springles Cottage. From there you can hire a rowing boat for a day out on the river Ouse.

LEWES

Lewes is an area rich in cultural and historic heritage and only 10 minutes from Springles Cottage. There’s plenty of shopping to be done in the antique stores, independent boutiques or Harvey’s Brewery. Local produce is on offer at the Farmers Markets which are on 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. There’s lots of wonderful things to be discovered in lovely Lewes.

Glyndebourne is a world leading Opera House in the heart of the Sussex countryside and just 12 minutes drive from Springles Cottage.

Springles Cottage is a short distance away from the glorious Sussex coast. Beautiful beaches are within easy reach for stunning days out. Hope Cap is one of our favourite spots and just 35 mins away. Beachy Head, Seaford, Rottingdean and Brighton and Hove are all nearby as well.

VINEYARDS

Sussex is home to many leading English wine estates and a number are within easy reach of Springles Cottage.

Visit Rathfinny in Alfriston, Ridgeview in Ditchling or Bluebell Vineyards near Uckfield all renowned for world class sparkling wines.

BRIGHTON & HOVE

Brighton and Hove is only 30 mins away from Springles, with it’s friendly and vibrant atmosphere.

Visit the Royal Pavillion, stroll along the Palace Pier and shop in The Lanes. Eat in award winning restaurants and enjoy fantastic theatre, comedy and music in their many venues.
